Ms. Fruth
Ms. Fruth started teaching 5 years ago in 2019. Her favorite thing about teaching is finding fun projects to incorporate with history. This year, Ms. Fruth teaches 8th Grade U.S. History and 6th Grade Ancient Civilizations History. She came to Lewis from Knox Middle School. Ms. Fruth would love to see Lewis have Pep Rallies and Fun Fridays incorporating all the grades.
Mr. Litvin
Mr. Litvin has been an engineer and a coach 17 years in total, most recently coming from Lincoln Middle School. This year he teaches engineering for 6th, 7th, and 8th. His favorite thing about teaching it is showing people about engineering and to apply it to real life. He also loves to teach it because he wasn't given an opportunity to learn about it when he was younger. At Lewis he hopes to see us highlighting kids for modeling real life achievements (don’t forget to nominate your friends for this in our Student Spotlight!).
Mr. Lockwood
Mr. Lockwood is a Star Wars fan. So at first when we asked him how long he has been teaching he said “For 800 years, he has been training Jedi.” but, since he is not Yoda he then changed his answer to 24 years, which is still pretty close. He teaches 8th Grade English Language Arts and his favorite thing about teaching it is seeing students develop their creativity and critical thinking. He loves hearing really good academic discussions from his students. Before Lewis, he taught at Roosevelt Middle School. He hopes that at Lewis, we can have free ice cream on Fridays! He says that “Ice cream and non dairy frozen desserts make the world a better place”. He likes the vibe here and enjoys teaching to continue to make Lewis a great place.
