Lewis Middle School is CLOSED for SUMMER BREAK and office Construction

The office will re-open  July 30, 2025. 

School resumes Monday August 11, 2025.

NEIGHBORHOOD 

 

For neighborhood families that are currently not enrolled in a Feeder school: We will start enrollment  August 11, 2025

 

If your child CURRENTLY attends one of the following feeder schools, parents do NOT need to pre-register.  A complete school packet will go home with your child within the first week of school.  Inside the packet will be necessary documents that parents will need to look over and sign.  .  If you have questions about the Elective card please contact Phil Barry, Site Tech  619-510-4322   [email protected]   .

CHOICE / VEEP

If you live outside the Lewis Middle School attendance boundaries, you would have had to fill out and submit an Enrollment Options CHOICE application by the San Diego Unified School District deadline in November.  Accepted applicants are notified by the San Diego Unified School District Neighborhood Schools Enrollment Options Department and Lewis Middle School.

The CHOICE applications were available online September 2024 – November 4, 2024.   For questions about CHOICE please call enrollment options: 619-260-2410

Make sure not to miss the deadline.  It is a lottery. 

You will be notified by the district if you made the lottery, beginning in February and March.

For 2025-2026 enrollment

 

WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER. Please contact us after July 29, 2025.

You will need to provide the following documents for enrollment:

*Proof of your residency: A recent (within the last 30 days) utility bill (gas, electric, sewer or cable); signed lease; military housing orders; or, recent documents addressed to you from social services
*Immunization records: State of CA Health Requirements No child will be admitted without proof of current immunization requirements.
*Most Recent report card / Exit grades from previous school

*A copy of the most recent IEP or 504: if applicable
*Birth certificate

 

Any other school records that would be helpful in your child's placement are welcome
